Scenic spot for outdoor recreation. Scenic state park offering bike trails, an Olympic-size pool, picnic areas & fishing.
"We LOVE this park. Plenty of trails for hiking. Tons of places on land and on piers for fishing. Boat ramp for easy water access. This is the perfect park for kayaks. Lots of fish, birds, and turtles to see. The park rangers are all super friendly and will happily answer any questions you have. There is one day every year that is free fishing for the state of Tennessee. This is a PERFECT day for anyone new to fishing. Look up the Bobby Wilson Free Fishing Day."
"Little lady learned why they call it fishing instead of catching ha ha ha! Great place to take my granddaughter for her FIRST fishing excursion. So much more to do other than throw a line in. Would recommend to anyone with little ones."
"The trails are nice and now when I can't walk well they have a hiking trail chair. The newer short trail near the boat ramp has benches at the end, though the old gravel road should be torn out or repaved cause it's too broken up and could be a bit difficult for some walkers. Staff is always nice. The view from trails is always nice."
